Pass time: 2 Days later Description:  It was dawn. The camp was quiet and the horses quietly grazed or played with one another. Men and women wandered the large camp, children played and fires burned. But the calm silence was quickly drowned out. It started with a hint of rumbling, but the sound traveled quickly to where it almost sounded like thunder. Everyone heard it and looked toward the west, straining their eyes to detect the source of the noise. Then in a matter of minutes, it happened. Holding her head up high and once more puffing out her chest, she began to trot toward the nearest building. Spirit: With his head still tilted sideways in a skeptical manner, the great mustang watched as the Indian bravely tested the ice. His ears perked forward, listening to how the ice groaned and shifted with each step. Although he expected that to happen and the ice to give way, it never did. Perhaps the ice was stronger than it looked, at least he hoped so... but something inside him still nagged to stay away.  Still, he watched as Little Creek went further and further out onto the frozen river.
